The British Aikido Board

The British Aikido Board is an umbrella body created on 2’nd June 1977 to represent the interests of Aikido in the UK. It has established standards/policies for coaching, first aid, insurance, child protection and police records checking for all instructors, and is active in promoting Aikido throughout the UK with its annual courses.

N.B. when choosing an Aikido club ensure that the organization it belongs to is a member of the B.A.B. and that all students have personal insurance and instructors have the appropriate coaching awards, personal indemnity insurance and police records check.
